A lot of New

Since my wedding much has happened.
I moved from Illinois to Oregon. I had a few job interviews out here but nothing came of either of them. I started working with Thirty-One as an independent consultant and have had some good sales months and some not so good.  My husband and I found a church to attend. I found a youth group to help with.  I started working more on a joint story with one of my friends back in Illinois. My husband and I have made a few friends. I went to a Christmas party and a new years eve eve party.

More about the Thirty-One... I just started in August and its difficult to get it up. Since its a home party business its been hard to get home parties. I have had a home/catalog party back in Illinois thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law. A friend of mine out here tried a catalog party for me. The economy makes it hard for people to want to buy items. Plus no one really knows what Thirty-One is in the area that I am. I had two vendor events -one in Nov and one in Dec. The Nov. event went okay no one ordered  or set up a party. The Dec. event went slightly better I got one order and one person picked up the hostess information to pass on- yet I never heard from the ladies friend.  Mostly the events just helped me get Thirty-One out there and let people know who they could order from.

More about the church we found. We go to service Saturday nights since my husband works Sundays. I go back and help Sundays with the youth worship services. I help with the youth group which hosted a New Years Eve eve party. That's quite an interesting idea still wrapping my head around it because I am used to the whole church getting together for a New Years Eve party. We have also attended the young adult group occasionally. The young adult group had a ladies only Christmas party which was a blast.  The friends that I have made are party of the young adult group but also help with the youth group as well.  Most of the friends my husband has are from work.

Other stuff. I've been keeping the place clean and trying to get my business kick started.  I've been building relationships with some of the members of the youth group that I help with . I'm enjoying the change of scenery that I get from what I've had in the past.  On the other hand, I miss every one friends and family back in Illinois.
